Starting from Hightide’s base in Bönigen, Interlaken, our guided tours reveal the area’s natural wonders. Paddle along the north shore, passing sunbaked cliffs, the historic 12th-century Ringgenberg Castle, and hidden beaches. Cross the lake and soak in the spectacular scenery.
Evening tours offer a peaceful experience as the sun sets behind Interlaken, following the same route as our half-day tours.

Start early for a quieter experience: Early morning tours tend to have fewer people, giving you a more peaceful paddle.
Bring a waterproof phone case: For capturing those amazing views without worrying about your phone getting wet.

- Turn right and follow the lakeside path (approx. 35 min).
- Pass the campsite to reach Strandbad Bönigen.

- Parking available directly in front of Strandbad.

Public Transport
- Take a train to Interlaken Ost SBB.

Frequently asked questions
I have never been in a kayak before, can I still take part?
Our tours are well suited for beginners and non-swimmers. Prior experience is not necessary. You must be at least 12 years old to take part in the tour. We are happy to organize a private tour for younger participants or we recommend our family session for a more games and splashing orientated session.
Do the tours also take place in bad weather?
Tours run in most weather conditions, including light rain. However, in case of severe weather, such as storms or strong winds, we may cancel or reschedule the tour for safety reasons.
Are there parking spaces nearby?
Yes, there is public parking in front of our base, but it is not free.
